Privacy

Your data, plainly.

This is Tawanda Makunike's personal website. Here is what it collects, why, and how to have it removed.

What's collected

  • Your introduction, if you fill in the “who are you?” form: your name, email address, role, company, and the page you were on. It's optional; you can skip it.
  • Your conversations with the AI: chat messages and, for voice calls, a recording and transcript (the call screen tells you before you call).
  • Usage analytics through Google Analytics: pages viewed and events like starting a call or downloading the CV. Never the text of your messages.
  • A one-way hash of your IP address, used only to stop abuse with rate limits. The IP address itself isn't stored.

Why

To answer your questions, to let Tawanda get back to you when you've agreed to that, to improve the answers the AI gives, and to keep the site running and protected. Your details are never sold or used for marketing lists.

Who processes it

The site runs on Vercel, stores data in Supabase and Azure, uses Azure OpenAI to generate answers and transcripts, sends notification emails through Azure Communication Services, and measures traffic with Google Analytics. These providers process data on Tawanda's behalf.

Your rights

You can ask what's held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, at any time: email tawanda@makunike.com. You can also object to being contacted; just say so in reply to any email. These rights come from the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA); you may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
